Fire Risk Assessment

Our team provides a comprehensive range of expert services in line with the highest standards of delivery.

Our core assessment process includes:

  • Employers (and/or building owners or occupiers) must have a fire safety risk assessment carried out and ensure it is kept up to date.

  • Based on the findings of the assessment, employers need to ensure that adequate and appropriate fire safety measures are in place to minimise the risk of injury or loss of life in the event of a fire.

  • To help prevent fire in the workplace, the risk assessment carried out by our fully qualified assessors will identify what could cause a fire to start and substances that will fuel a fire and identify the people who may be at risk.

  • Once we have identified the risks, appropriate action can be taken to control them. This involves due consideration as to whether these can be avoided altogether or, if this is not possible, our action plan will identify how best to reduce the risks and manage them. And more importantly how people will be protected in the event of a fire.

Fire Safety Site Assessment

These assessments are carried out by our fully qualified and experienced assessors and help to ensure total compliance of a site with HSG 168 Fire Safety in Construction, Fire Prevention on Construction Sites JCoP, Building Regulations, STA Guidance - 16 steps to fire safety.

When you are operating a construction site, health and safety should be a primary and significant concern. This includes fire safety which, in Scotland is governed by the Fire Scotland Act 2005 and in England and Wales, is governed by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. These were developed to protect people from the threat of fire whilst in commercial and public-access environments and, to ensure full legal compliance on-site.

Design review to ensure compliance - we carry out 3rd party assessment on the design and compare it with all the relevant regulations and British Standards, to ensure all parties have the guarantee that the needs of the build meet all the current fire safety legal requirements.
