Explore our 30 year history, goals and achivements

1993

John Holmes Contractors established; a labour only company with 20 tradesmen, offering dry lining and suspended ceilings. First client signed up and remains sole focus for nine years.

2008

Business moves to a new office in Queenslie, Glasgow and expansion heads across the Border with the opening of a new Manchester Office.  On the staff front, Gareth Holmes, Dale Zahra and Tommy Steele are appointed as Directors and tradesmen numbers increase to 150.

2018

Linear Design & Construct (LDC), launches and becomes part of Linear Group, with Ryan Broadley joining as Managing Director, Scotland.

2019

First two significant projects awarded for LDC from Lothian in Edinburgh and South Ayrshire Council.

1st Anniversary of LDC sees staff levels reach 15.

2020

LDC Manchester secures 5 projects in its first 6 months totalling £4.5m pushing the team to up to 9 members.

2022

Scottish business moves to a new state of the art office in Maxim Park, Eurocentral

2023

Linear Celebrates 30 Years and secures the largest development to date Trafford Gardens
