Linear Group expands into North of England with new senior appointments.

With less than 18 months since the launch of LDC in Scotland, the main contracting arm of Linear Group has now unveiled its expansion plans for the North of England.

The new business – LDC will be headed up by newly appointed Managing Director for England, Dan Hooker, who joins from Overbury. Dan brings over 27 years’ experience in construction, mainly in the fit out sector across the North of England.  His unwavering commitment to understanding the specific needs of each client and project has seen him deliver remarkable outcomes for high-profile projects in the region, particularly in the media and higher education sectors.

Alongside Dan, Andy Ineson joins LDC as Contract Manager, following eight years with Overbury, and bringing a total of 24 years’ construction experience.  With a proven track record across all aspects of construction from initial design, to construction, testing and commissioning, Andy is passionate about ensuring the optimal understanding of each client’s priorities from beginning to end of each project.

Commenting on the business expansion, Stephen Holmes, CEO of Linear Group, said, “Following the success of Linear Design and Construct in Scotland, we felt it was time to spread our wings and expand our main contracting footprint into the North of England, where we have been successfully operating Linear Projects since 2008.  Dan and Andy bring impressive experience and credentials to bolster our main contracting capability, and also strengthen our offer and presence in the region. I am delighted to welcome them to the Group and look forward to working with them to optimise the potential of our collective offer and drive success as we push our ambitions forward. ”

He continued, “Linear Group has seen incredible growth over the past few years and we continue to grasp the opportunities which are presented to us with vigour and enthusiasm.  With 27 years of business under our belts, we are confident that we have the right people, the right approach and the right experience to build on our successes even further.”

The new additions will join the existing 10-strong Manchester team and the business will relocate to a new office in the vibrant South Manchester town of Altrincham.
