Duo from Cathkin High School

A week of learning and experience with the teams across Linear Group.

During the week, the pair learned about the diverse and varied roles within the business, as well as visiting key projects in Glasgow and Edinburgh.  A highlight for both was the visit and tour around the £70m Glasgow University Project, where Linear Projects is currently actively engaged in fit out works.

Commenting on the week, Stephen Holmes, CEO of Linear Group said, “We made sure Lewi and Lewis acquired a good sense of our business and the wider industry, in terms of both practical experience and knowledge sharing. They both rose to the challenge and got a great deal from their time with us.

He continued, “At Linear, we feel it is vital to instil some fundamental insight and knowledge for those young people joining our business and the industry for the first time. Through this work experience, the boys were exposed to a busy office and workplace for the first time and this will help them understand the workings and structures of whatever roles they chose in the future.”

Thanks to Jim Stirling, Project Manager at the Glasgow University Learning Teaching Hub for taking the time to take Lewi and Lewis on a tour.
