Linear Design & Construct (LDC) have completed their first major project, the comprehensive fit-out of 49 Shandwick Place in Edinburgh.
The project will create the flagship customer experience and Travel Centre for Lothian, the UK’s largest municipal transport operator that runs bus services across the city and beyond across the Lothian region.
LDC were appointed Principal Contractor by Lothian and Graham & Sibbald to deliver a full fit out and refurbishment to the 9,140 square foot property. Working collaboratively with the design team, LDC completed the 18 week Fast Track programme of work, whilst ensuring the highest levels of quality and professionalism.
Ryan Broadley, Managing Director of Linear Design & Construct said: “This completion is not only significant for Lothian, but also for LDC as it represents the first major completion since we launched the business at the end of last year. Through this contract, we have been able to demonstrate our expertise, professionalism and commitment and forge positive relationships for the future. Working in partnership with the client and Graham & Sibbald has proved of huge benefit to the project and gives us great confidence in our offer and approach.”
Commenting on the project, Paul Docherty, Project Manager, Graham & Sibbald, said, “Throughout the course of the project, I have been extremely impressed with the performance of LDC. It is quite clear that the highest standards have been demanded and indeed delivered, from the contractor through the quality of work. Despite challenges of the site due to its location and size, it has always remained very well organised, an essential requirement to ensure that health and safety was not compromised either to the site operatives or occupants of the four floors”
