The team at Linear Group have always shown a strong commitment to charity, especially those which are close to the hearts of colleagues and their communities. This year has been no different and has seen some incredible fundraising for a range of hugely worthy causes.
In October, a charity night for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation raised an incredible £14,450.71, in honour of Mick Canning, one of Linear’s own site managers who lost his life to Motor Neurone Disease. With a cause so close to the heart of Linear staff, this charity effort truly showed the affection and respect everyone had for Mick, who is sorely missed.
In addition, The Linear Walking Group added to the fundraising by completing a section of the Fife Coastal Walk comprising of approximately 25 miles from Crail to Leven and a four-mile loop around Strathclyde Loch on foot or rollerblades, along with members of their families.
Finally, the team donned their festive fashion for this year’s Christmas Jumper Day to raise much needed funds for local food bank in Airdrie and Manchester.
Stephen Holmes, CEO of Linear Group, said, “I am hugely proud of the long standing commitment our team has shown towards giving back and supporting such worthy charitable causes. This is even more important as we’ve been able to pay tribute to Mick by raising these vital funds reflecting the impact, he made on all of us. I also applaud the Walking Group for bringing the staff and their families together, as well showing their support for others. Despite how much we’ve grown as a company, this drive for charitable giving sits at the heart of our business and will always play a key role for us.”
