Lancefield Quay

We were appointed to undertake the complete works a Lancefield Quay on Glasgow’s riverside which involved extensive reinstatement works to the fire-damaged property, where 23 out of the 92 apartments were affected by fire in late 2019. Our project team moved to site at the end of September 2020 to begin restoring the structural elements of the building to ensure that any fire related sections were fully analysed and repaired.

Work alongside the multidisciplinary team providing architectural and civil and structural engineering services as well as quantity surveying and project management, the 48-week construction programme involves our team re-building the fire damaged luxury properties overlooking the River Clyde.

The properties are a combination of one, two and three bedroom apartments with balconies and conservatories and the brief has been to ensure these are completed to a very high standard with the quality of both workmanship and product being regularly checked and monitored on an ongoing basis. The team are on track to deliver the beautifully designed renewed homes by December 2021 and are fully engaging with the client and all stakeholders to ensure their needs and requirements are meet, and where possible, exceeded. This includes detailed stakeholder engagement with 23 individual clients in selecting kitchens, bathrooms, and finishes

Due to its busy city centre location and neighbouring residents, the project has required carefully planned and managed logistics.  The team were able to overcome the challenges presented through excellent forward planning and engagement with Glasgow City Roads Department and supply chain contractors with crane requirements.  We have employed a specialist traffic management company to assist with the Broomielaw Traffic Management Plan.
