Major office refurbishment project for South Ayrshire Council.

location
Ayr KA7 1DP

We were appointed by hubSouth West as the Principle Contractor for the design and refurbishment to modernise/rationalise existing properties owned by South Ayrshire Council, including the Victorian Ayr County buildings and Carnegie Library, in November 2018. The Council were closing two existing offices, Burns House and John Pollock Centre, and therefore required their existing estate to be reviewed and updated to accommodate the staff leaving the aforementioned buildings. There were 9 different properties under this original contract, however, both the Council and hubSW then increased the scope of works and we completed 14 council buildings. The last building to undergo refurbishment, Clydesdale Bank, was completed in March 2021.

“We are pleased to have been able to facilitate another important project with South Ayrshire Council and we look forward to working closely with Linear Design & Construct to bring further tangible benefits to the region.”

Michael McBreaty, Chief Executive, hub South West.
