The team has been appointed by North Lanarkshire Council and hub SW as the preferred bidder for the extension of the All Saints & Rochsolloch Primary Schools in Airdrie.  Design and consultation is underway with the project due to start in March, with completion in time for the new term in August 2020.  The team are carefully planning the works to ensure little or no disruption to the schools during the project.

In addition, we’ve secured further work with Hub SW/ South Ayrshire Council following the successful completion of refurbishment/fit-out works to the County Buildings in Ayr. The Ayr Riverside Project is a public realm project in the heart of the town and is generating much excitement amongst the people of Ayr. The public consultation and concept designs are underway with works due to commence summer 2020. This promises to be a great project which will host events to enhance tourism and trade in the centre of Ayr for years to come.

Finally, LDC has also been successful in winning the Design & Build KPMG Fit-out project in Aberdeen. This high quality, prestigious project will be delivered in the early 2020. The fit-out is within the high profile 1 Marischal Square Building, with a fantastic outlook over the beautiful Marischal College. Many of the internal design features have been designed to complement the outlook on to the college providing first class office accommodation for the KPMG staff once completed. The team will self-deliver all of the joinery, dry lining and suspended ceiling aspects of the project which is a key offering LDC provides on all of their projects, helping to minimise risk and ensuring high quality throughout.

Commenting on the encouraging start to 2020, Ryan Broadley, Managing Director, Linear Design & Construct, said, “2019 was a great first year for us and gave us real confidence around the strength of our offer and expertise. To start the new year with a series of wins continues to reflect the success and appeal of our approach.  Each of these projects present exciting opportunities to both build on our reputation, and also work on some great, high profile developments. We look forward to building on this early success and taking LDC to the next level this year.”
