LDC Scotland gets go ahead to commence schools expansion in Airdrie.

LDC has successfully achieved financial close on a new Design & Build project with hub South West, with work set to begin imminently.

The project, on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council (NLC), will see the team carry out an extension of the All Saints & Rochsolloch Primary Schools in Airdrie.

The project, procured via hub South West, will see the addition of extensions to both Primary Schools, which occupy the same building. The project will allow both schools to increase capacity in order to meet future demand and enhance both schools’ educational facilities.

Work to date has seen LDC manage the Design & Build project from inception to design conclusion with their Design Team, JM Architects  and Blyth & Blyth (Structural & M&E).   Working collaboratively, the team have demonstrated exceptional professionalism and delivery ensuring the client has been continually delighted by the approach and performance.

Commenting on the project, Ryan Broadley, Managing Director, Linear Design & Construct, said, “Building on the successful relationship we have forged with hub South West over the past 2 years, our appointment to this project demonstrates a continued confidence in our approach.  Additionally, this opportunity will allow us to show the spectrum of our expertise, as well as providing essential space for the teachers and children, now and in the future.

We are delighted that our strong performance has been recognised throughout the hub Stage 1 and Stage 2 process and we are now looking forward to building a lasting relationship with NLC during the construction phase.”

The project is due for completion by Christmas 2020.
