Linear Group merges two divisions to enhance expert solutions
Linear Group have announced the merger of two of its divisions to enhance the expert service offering for building owners, managers, contractors and developers, as part of the Group’s ongoing growth.
Established in 2020 Linear Building Compliance (LBC) and Linear Fire Safety (LFS) will now operate as one integrated unit under the LBC banner. The integration brings together extensive expertise in fire risk assessments, fire safety management and fire safety training, further strengthening LBC’s portfolio of services across all sectors.
With a growing focus on optimising building safety and compliance across the industry, LBC are well placed to utilise a wide range of expertise and experience, as well as the appropriate third party certifications required to inspect, report, remediate , and also maintain, any premises. This move also strongly aligns with the Group’s growth ambitions and strategy.
Stephen Holmes, CEO, Linear Group, said, "We launched Linear Building Compliance six years ago recognising that specialist services were in high demand and clients’ were increasingly looking to minimise their risk by engaging with quality, fully certified and accountable businesses. Over this period, we’ve seen that there is much to be gained for integrating our expertise and streamlining our overarching service offering. This has led to the decision to merge Linear Fire Safety into LBC which we feel will not only strengthen the offering but also give clients an enhanced experience.”
Headed up by Managing Director, Andrew Shankland, the newly merged division will deliver UK-wide solutions for all types of new and existing buildings, ranging from individual premises, multiple site to large scale complexes. Commenting on the merger, Andrew Shankland said, “This development will provide a wider range of support services to all our clients while continuing to provide the same high standard of service, support, and technical expertise that they currently receive but now all within one company.”
The merger follows the expansion of LBC which has significantly strengthened the team’s capacity to support client needs. The spectrum of services now offered includes fire risk assessments, fire door services, fire strategy advice, fire safety training, general repairs & maintenance, fire stopping services, electrical services, fire door installation, fire alarm services, fire extinguisher services, fire compartmentation, acoustic solutions including insulation and reverberation, CCTV & security services and 24 Hour maintenance call outs.
