Transforming health and social care for the Gorbals community.

The Linear Projects team recently completed a package of specialist interior work at the state of the art new Gorbals Health and Care Centre, which is set to revolutionise provision and support for the local community.

It was the ability to deliver a multi-package solution, cost efficiencies and single point of contact for multiple trades which was to prove of most value to our partners, Morgan Sindall. Working collaboratively with them and their team, we delivered circa 3,000m of partition, 5,500m2 of ceilings, 360Nr doors and screens, and 870m2 of external timber cladding.

The new centre, representing an investment of £17m, replaced the existing 1970s facility which was no longer fit for purpose and was unable to meeting the ever-evolving needs of the local people.  One of the major focuses for the new facility was to ensure it could accommodate multiple services to deliver more complete and integrated provision including GP surgeries, social services, treatment rooms and community spaces.

Procured through the Hub West Scotland programme, Linear Projects worked in partnership with Morgan Sindall to deliver a high quality solution for the people of the Gorbals area.
