Moray Council HQ

Working to convert the former retail unit into a modern open office environment with a BREEAM “Excellent” rating was a challenge and a testament to Linear’s ethos of early client engagement.

Due to the resultant design features, this meant a traditional suspended ceiling was not suitable, but with over 220 staff working in the main open-plan area, noise levels needed to be controlled. 68 Rockfon Eclipse ceiling islands were suspended throughout the main office and 126 m2 of Sonar Activity B-edged tiles were directly fixed to the bulkheads. The frameless islands have a minimalistic sharp-lined edge. They absorb sound from both sides of the panel and let air circulate freely all around.

All of this was supplemented with break out and meeting room areas with highly performing glazed partitions all of which helped deliver a productive and pleasant working environment for all.
