Forth Valley Acute Hospital
Built to an innovative, human-scale design, Britain’s first robotised hospital is the result of advanced pioneering technology and collaborative thinking. A collaborative, responsible approach from the outset, from all members of the project design team and key stakeholders co-located to ensure close relationships were maintained and improved communication, with the use of BIM helping coordination. At peak, 155 Linear employees were working on the project, 95% of whom were from within a 30 mile radius.
Engaging in design and VE some six months in advance of the start date, Linear were able to demonstrate the commitment and expertise which ultimately persuaded Laing O’Rourke to place three packages worth £11m with us.
“The reason we sought only to work such a joined up partnering approach with Linear Projects was due to their specific brand of can-do positive attitude as well as their obvious shared common goals with ours. After four years of working together we are able to say without exception that we achieved all of our original aims and perhaps a few more besides.”
